Four bands will put on a promotional concert in Cheongju and Daejeon this weekend to raise funds for Republic of Korea Derby, a roller derby league.

On Friday, Club MJ in Cheongju will host hip-hop MC Norbert Morvan, punk rockers ...Whatever That Means, garage band The March Kings and expat acoustic group Tiger Summer, followed by DJs playing ska, punk and new wave. Doors open at 10 p.m. and entrance is 7,000 won.

Daejeon’s BrickHouse will provide the stage Saturday for punk bands ... Whatever That Means, Burning Hepburn and Roadrunner, as well as Tiger Summer, and there will be a 1960s garage-themed after party.

Doors open at BrickHouse at 9 p.m. and admission is 8,000 won, or 6,000 won if you come dressed in the event’s zombies vs. hippies dress code.
