Our advertisement, which highlighted KB’s standing as Korea’s top financial group upon receiving the 2012 Top Governance award, showed KB’s promise to do better in improving corporate governance, social responsibility and dealing with environmental challenges.

KB Financial Group has continued to make efforts for change and innovation as it focused on raising management efficiency and establishing a stable system across the group.

As part of such efforts, KB enhanced the independence and efficiency of its board of directors as well as its audit functions, protection of shareholder values and convenience in communication, and was credited as the best company across all evaluation categories on governance.

KB is also trying to expand ethical management through signing an agreement on integrity in assessing smaller partner firms, and has done its best to improve the welfare of employees and protect financial consumers. It was therefore selected as the best company in social responsibility as well.

KB was also chosen as the leading company in environmental management progress, after it set up an exclusive department for “green finance” and developing products for sustainability.

KB Financial Group sought to show through this advertisement that our efforts for improvement in governance succeeded thanks to the support of the Korean people.
