U.S. hip-hop star Lil Wayne says he is planning his retirement after 19 years in the music industry.

The 30-year-old rapper is promoting his 10th solo album, “I Am Not a Human Being II,” which is set for release in February.

Asked on MTV if the CD is part of his “Tha Carter” series of albums, Lil Wayne replied, “It‘s like a ’Carter V.‘”

So, why not call it that?

“Because I know y’all want me around for a little bit, and ‘Carter V’ is my last album,” Lil Wayne told MTV.com. “Man, I‘ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I‘m 30 now, man. That’s a long time, man.”

The website said it is unclear when “Tha Carter V” might be recorded or released or if any other Lil Wayne albums will come before it. (UPI)

그러면 왜 그렇게 이름을 붙이지 않았냐는 물음에 웨인은 "카터V"는 자신의 마지막 앨범이 될 것이라고 말했다. 덧붙여 "이봐요, 저는 8살 때부터 랩을 했어요. 전 지금 30살이에요. 정말 오랜 시간이죠."라고 MTV.com에 말했다.

MTV는 "타 카터 V(Tha Carter V)"가 언제 녹음되거나 발매될 것인지 혹은 그 전에 다른 앨범이 또 나올 것인지는 불분명하다고 전했다. (코리아헤럴드)
