The Korean film “Late Spring” won the Best Film, Best Acting Performance Female and Best Cinematography awards at the Milano International Film Festival, which ended on May 12, the movie’s producer Studio Hook said.

“Late Spring,” helmed by “26 Years” director Cho Keun-hyun, follows the story of a young model (Lee Yoo-young) who helps a paralyzed sculptor (Park Yong-woo) find his artistic passion and meaning in life.

Lee won the award for best actress for her role in the film, which was her first full-length commercial movie.

The film gained much attention at the festival as it was nominated for six other categories, including best director, best screenplay, best supporting actress, best supporting actor, best production design and best music.

Earlier, the film earned Best Foreign Feature Award at the Arizona International Festival in April. It will be screened at theaters in Korea later this year.
