[THE INVESTOR] On Sept. 21, CJ CGV (079160) increased 1.82% to 84,000 won (US$ 75.02). It had declined 6.79% through the past month. Standard deviation, which indicates risk, records 2.3% over the same period over one month.

Compared with its close competitors within the same industry, KOSPI, as the monthly volatility of CJ CGV had relatively expanded, the investment return for one month was negative. Over the recent month, the return-on-risk, the return on investment with consideration about risk, was -2.9%. As high volatility and a bearish stock price trend, the return-on-risk recorded a low value. Moreover, compared with the KOSPI industry, the return-on-risk is below the industrial mean, -2.1, and thus it is hard to say that the industrial comparison performance was positive.

From Sept. 19, institutions have been continuously buying CJ CGV during the past two trading days. As a shareholding sum by investor group for the past four weeks, foreigners have sold 196,595 shares with maintenance of a selling position and institutions have sold 340,189 shares with dominant selling. However, during the same period, individuals have bought 536,784 shares with an increasing position.
