가수 서태지(41)가 16살 연하인 배우 이은성(24)과의 결혼계획을 수요일 오후 본인 공식 홈페이지를 통해 발표했다. 

둘은 2008년 이은성이 서태지의 뮤직비디오에 출연하면서 알게 된 후 계속 연락을 주고 받다가 1년쯤 뒤 연인관계로 발전한 것으로 알렸으며, 현재는 평창동에 새로 지은 서태지의 집에서 서태지의 부모님과 동거 중으로 밝혔다. 

홈페이지에 올린 글을 통해 서태지는 “오랫동안 기다려온 나의 짝을 찾았다. 그리고 이제 그 사랑하는 나의 짝과 결혼을 하려고 한다”고 밝혔다.

이에 그의 예비 신부인 이은성은“예전부터 그의 음악을 좋아했지만 직접 만나게 될 줄은 몰랐어요. 그런데 뮤직비디오 촬영현장에서 서태지가 동료와 스태프들을 대하는 모습을 보고서는 ‘멋진 사람이구나’라고 생각만 하고 있었다”고 말했다.

한편 서태지는 2년 전 배우 이지아와의 오랜 비밀 결혼생활과 이혼소송에 대한 소식으로 전국을 떠들썩 하게한 바 있다.

Seo Taiji to wed actress Lee Eun-sung

The iconic ’90s singer and musician Seo Taiji announced on Wednesday his engagement to actress Lee Eun-sung, who is 16 years his junior. Seo Taiji, 41, and Lee, 24, reportedly met in 2008 when she appeared in one of the singer’s music video. They revealed they began dating a year later and are currently living together with his parents in his newly built house in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul.

Seo Taiji made the announcement on his official website and claimed that he has been waiting a long time and is happy that he has finally found “the one.”

“I’ve liked his music for a long-time but I never thought I would get a chance to meet him in person,” Lee stated through her agency. “While I was on the filming set of his music video, I saw the way Seo Taiji treated his colleagues and other staff members and I just thought to myself, ‘He’s a decent guy.’”

This is set to be Seo Taiji’s second marriage. The star had previously shocked the nation two years ago when his secret marriage to actress Lee Ji-ah and their subsequent divorce were uncovered.
